A close friend
has a financial crisis.
The grim reaper
of economics approaches.
All may be lost.
My wily, able friend,
fortified with a
singular talent has
been through this before
and emerged strong.
Who knows about it this time?
Nobody, nor does he
and he sweats.
The thing about a crisis
Is that all is never lost.
That which was won
and is now taken
makes room for what
was always there,
to be known now
in a way that
startles one alive.
